Send Anywhere auto-saves all received photos and videos to the Camera Roll of the native Photos app by default. They are displayed in the Photos and Videos tabs within Send Anywhere app's Send menu.
If you are unable to find the received photos and videos in the native Photos app, check the followings:
-
Is the file format or audio codec supported by your iOS version?
If the received files have a format or audio codec not supported by your iOS version, they cannot be saved to the Camera Roll of the native Photos app. Instead, they will be saved to Send Anywhere folder of the native Files app and will be displayed in the 'Files' tab of the Send menu within Send Anywhere app. Please make sure that the received files are saved in the 'Files' tab.
If you want to open a photo or video file stored in the 'Files' tab of the Send menu, please use another viewer or player app that supports the corresponding file format and audio codec. To do this, select the photo or video in the Files tab, tap the (⋮) ellipsis icon next to the Send button at the bottom, then select Open in... Choose the desired app and open the file. -
Have you been allowed to access the native photo app?
If you haven't allowed Send Anywhere app to access the native photo app, the received photos and videos won't be saved to the native Photos app. To grant access, open the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad, go to Send Anywhere > Photos, and tap All photos to allow access. -
Have you set 'Auto-Save to Camera Roll'?
If you have allowed Send Anywhere app to access the native photo app on your iPhone/iPad and your photos and videos are not being saved to the native Photos app, please open Send Anywhere app, tap the ☰ menu icon in the top left, go to 'Settings' and make sure the 'Auto-Save to Camera Roll' option is enabled. If the 'Auto-Save to Camera Roll' option is disabled, all files received via Send Anywhere app will be saved to the Send Anywhere folder of the native Files app and will be displayed in the 'Files' tab of the Send menu within Send Anywhere app. -
Have you checked if the received photos and videos were saved on the taken date?
By default, photo and video files are saved with the time taken. For example, if the photo or video you just received was taken on October 10, 2020, it will be saved with October 10, 2020, in the Photos app. Go to that date and time to find the photo or video in the native Photos app.
If you don't know when the photo or video you received was taken, go to 'Albums' in the native Photos app and look for the 'Send Anywhere' folder. All photos and videos received via Send Anywhere app are stored in Send Anywhere folder of the native Photos app.
