All files downloaded via Send Anywhere will be saved in accordance with your web browser's designated download path settings. (* Check available browsers)
Desktop App (Windows, macOS, Linux)
You go to the Download Path setting located within the Send Anywhere app. From there, you can check all downloaded files. You can set the download folder path in Settings > File transfer > Download Path.
Mobile App
Android app
By default, all files received via the Send Anywhere app are saved to the 'Send Anywhere' folder in the internal storage. Send Anywhere app only displays the files stored on your device in each tab (Photo, Video, Audio, App, Files) of the Send menu only for the time you're using the app.
However, if a received file has a format or audio codec that is not supported by Android OS, you can see it in the 'Files' tab of the Send Menu in Send Anywhere app.
To check received files, you can browse them in the Files of the Send menu on Send Anywhere app. You can also check them in the designated folder on a file management app. You can set the download folder path in Settings > File Transfer > Downloads folder.
iOS app
By default, Send Anywhere automatically saves all received photos and videos to the Camera Roll of the Photos app. These files are also displayed in the 'Photo' and 'Video' tabs of the Send menu within the Send Anywhere app.
However, if a received file has a format or audio codec that is not supported by iOS, it cannot be saved in the Camera Roll of the Photos app. In this case, the file will be saved in the 'File' tab of the Send menu within the Send Anywhere app. Please make sure to check the 'File' tab if you are unable to find a received file in the Camera Roll.
Any files other than photo and video files supported by iOS will be saved in the File tab of the Send menu.
※ About files saved in the File tab of the Send menu
- If you wish to access a file that has been saved in the File tab of the Send menu, you can download and use a viewer or player app that supports the specific file format or audio codec. To open the file in another app, select the file in the File tab of the Send menu, tap on the three dots icon located in the Send Box at the bottom, and then click on the "Open in..." option.
-
Please note that any files located in the Files tab of the Send menu are exclusively saved within the Send Anywhere app. If you delete Send Anywhere app from your device, any files in the Files tab of the Send menu will be deleted as well. To prevent this from happening and back up your files, you need to move the files from Send Anywhere folder to a different folder within the Files app.
※ Depending on your iOS device settings, files received through Send Anywhere may not be automatically saved to the Camera Roll of the Photos app. If you would like to change this setting, please follow here to learn more.
